Charles J. Shamenek

Charles J Shamenek, 99 , of Nazareth, formerly of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Easton Hospital in Easton. Charles was born in Bethlehem and was the son of the late Stephen and Frances Korpics Shamenek.

Charles worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Co. as a inspector for several years and for Boing Aircraft Coporation as an inspector retiring after 45 years of service. Charles was a star football player for Bethlehem High School where he graduated from in 1928.

Charles will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Louise Loyal and Susan, and a sister Helen I. Kresge of Allentown, four grandchildren and several nieces , nephews and cousins..

Charles is predeceased by his parents, nine brothers, Frank, Stephen, John, Joseph, George, Louis, George, Thomas and Daniel and four sisters, Mother Mary Irmina Shamenek O.S.F., Anna P. Gerras, Theresa Kruszewski, and Frances Shamenek.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 att St. Stephens of Hungary Catholic Church, 5th and Union Streets, Allentown, PA at 11:00 AM followed by committal service at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
