Charmaine M. Weisenbacher

December 23, 1932 — November 17, 2021

Charmaine "Char" M. Weisenbacher, 88, of Bethlehem passed away in her home with her family by her side. She was born on December 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Lynford and Gertrude (Rotenberger) Erdman. She was the loving wife of the late John Weisenbacher.

Char worked as a seamstress in many of the local textile factories. She loved quilting and won many blue ribbons for her beautiful work. She taught countless others how to quilt and was a member of the Colonial Quilters Guild of Bethlehem. She volunteered her time at many local nonprofits and was the N.E. Regional Director for PSSA. Char enjoyed traveling, watching the Phillies, Eagles and Nascar and playing poker and pinochle.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Carol S. Makuta, Robert S. Skeleton, Jr. (Kathy), and Michael D. Skeleton (Peggy); step daughters, Susan Phillips (John) and Judy Carpenter (Brian); sister, Betty Contros; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many close friends. Charmaine was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra M. Culp and sister, Andrea Heffelfinger.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lion's Club 300 W. 22nd St. Oak Brook, IL 60523.
