Christine B. Walters

Christine Belis Walters, 89, of Center Valley, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown. She was born February 19, 1918 in Madera, PA; the daughter of the late Wasyl and Elizabeth Dziordz Belis. She was the former wife of the late Richard B. Walters. Christine owned & operated Hillcrest Farms Resort for over 30 years in the Poconos. She was very active with the American Cancer Society. She was an avid reader, loved flower gardening and was an excellent cook. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Christine will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Daniel Zilko of Stroudsburg;

Richard Walters of Pocono Lake; daughters, Elizabeth "Lara" Schiffer of Saylorsburg; -Geraldine Kozura of Denton, TX; Helen Uffalussy of Tunkhannock; Susan Bruchok of Stroudsburg, Anita Zelechiwsky of Center Valley; brother, John Belis of Washington, PA; sister, Dolores Hutchinson of Oil City; 13 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 4 sisters and a granddaughter.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church 1023 Fifth St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. in the church.
