Christine Yawney

Christine Yawney, 81, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at her home in Bethlehem.

She was born in Lehigh Twp.; daughter of the late Charles and Cecelia (Szuppi) Kratzer.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Metro Yawney in June of 2005 and her daughter, Rosemarie Yawney-Labukas in October of 2011.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Christine is survived by her four daughters, Kathleen, wife of Michael Finley of Melbourne, FL; Deborah Yawney at home; Susan, wife of Robert Bennett; and Jacquelyn, wife of Brad Youst all of Bethlehem. She will also be dearly missed by her nine grandchildren; four great granddaughters; her great grandson and her sisters, Teresa DeLong of Emmaus; Julia Penchishen of Allentown and Anna Haftl of Slatington.

She was also predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 8-9:15 AM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
