Christopher J. Palenchar

Christopher J. Palenchar, 56, of Bethlehem died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill Campus. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of Bonita “Bonnie” (Makovsky) and Richard T. Palenchar. He was the devoted husband to Mark L. Huston.

Chris was a larger than life man who enjoyed traveling, going to the beach or pool, going on cruises, gardening, and loved the holidays, especially Christmas. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and would talk to anyone.

Chris is survived by his husband, Mark, parents, Richard and Bonnie, brothers, Richard Palenchar(Mary), Todd Palenchar, and Douglas Palenchar(Jessica), mother-in-law, Eleanor Huston, sister-in-law, Donna Farley(Tom), brother-in-law, Craig Huston(Susan), nieces and nephews, Katie, Kevin, Kelly, Tyler, Spencer, Potter, Jessica, Maureen, Christopher, and Kimm, and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kay “Casey” Huston.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem at 11 a.m. Due to current restrictions numbers will be limited in the viewing room, masks will be required and we ask that social distancing be practiced.
