Chryss Jane Buchman

Chryss Jane Buchman, 59, of Allentown, died suddenly and unexpectedly on April 12, 2016. She was born October 9, 1956 and was the daughter of the late Ernest Anderko, Anna Anderko and stepdaughter to A. Marcella Anderko.

Chryss was a graduate of Penn State University and earned her Masters degree from Temple University. She loved nature and was passionate about the conservation movement and chose a career with the Lehigh County Conservation District and for the past 15 years she has served as a conservation specialist for the Northampton County Conservation District. Chryss was an integral part of the Envirothon. She was very creative and enjoyed cake decorating, crafts and she was a master seamstress. Chryss also enjoyed jazz dancing and traveling with her family, especially to Costa Rica.

Chryss will be dearly missed by her sisters, Susan M. Anderko of Bethlehem and Elaine Yocum of Bethlehem Twp. her brother, David Bawden of Connecticut; her nephews, Joseph Bell and John Yocum III; a niece, Brittany Bell and her beloved Parrot, Jakey Bird.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018, with a prayer service to follow at 12 p.m.
