Colin M. Batarick

Colin M. Batarick, 29, of Walnutport, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, November 8, 2015. He was born in Allentown, the son of Ronald P. and Jo-Ellen F. (Yankovich) Batarick of Walnutport. Colin was a graduate of Northampton High School where he participated in the Best Buddies Program. Through the program his passion for caring for others was born and he met and cared for Jay Mohr, who Colin treated as family and continued to care for until his passing on Sunday.

Colin earned the honor of Eagle Scout through Troop 15, Indian Land in Cherryville and was awarded Order of the Arrow and Brotherhood as well as the Award of Merit. He graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in psychology. Colin worked as a Supports Coordinator at Quality Progressions.

Colin loved spending summer vacations in Ocean City, MD. He also loved riding his Harley with his parents and friends. Colin looked forward to riding every September at Ocean City, MD Bike Week. He was an avid fan of music and was an accomplished drummer. Colin played in the band “Right on Aspen” with friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved animals, especially Turtle; Buster, his basset hound; and Cooper, the familys chocolate lab.

Colin is survived by his parents; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He is reunited with his brother in heaven, Brandon Paul Batarick, who Colin missed so much.

A visitation will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 6-8:30 p.m. and again on Monday, from 9-10 a.m. in the funeral home with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. all at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
