Concepcion Almodovar

Concepcion Almodovar, 82, of Bethlehem died on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at St.Lukes Hospital.

He was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico; the son of the late Pedro and Efigenia Silva Almodovar.

Concepcion was preceded in death by his wife Felipa Lugo Almodovar.

He retired from Phelps Dodge Refinery in Brooklyn, NY after 28 years of service.

Concepcion is survived by his loving family, Daughters Yolanda and Judith Almodovar both of Bethlehem and sons, Wilberto Almodovar of Fountain Hill and Mario DeLeon of Bethlehem.

He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren as well as his sisters Jesusa and Luisa both of Puerto Rico and Juan of Chicago, IL.

Concepcion was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Teleforo, Eustaguia, Arcadea, Jose, Luciano, Matilde and Maria.

He enjoyed spending time in his garden and especially loved being with his family.



A visitation will be held on Wednesday September 12, 2007 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem from 7-9 PM and again on Thursday September 13, 2007 from 8:30-9:30 AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 13, 2007 at 10 AM at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem
