Concetta R. Burke, 83, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2014 at Sacred Heart Assisted Living, where she had resided for the past two years. She was the loving wife of the late George K. Burke, Sr. Born in Bethlehem on January 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Emma (Stern) Ronca. While at Burron, her husband George invented and patented the first disposable syringe along with many other critical medical devices still in use today. Burron is now B. Braun Medical, one of the leading employers in the Lehigh Valley with nearly 2000 employees. Connie and George were involved in several educational and volunteer organizations in Bethlehem, and always offered their generous support.
