Constance "Connie" J. Hippensteal

Constance “Connie” J. Hippensteal, 85, of Bethlehem entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Born in Allentown on March 23, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Kincaid) Jura. She was the loving wife of the late John “Jack” J. Hipppensteal. They were married for 64 years when John passed.

Connie graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School. She was a devout Catholic and a very active member of Saints Simon and Jude Church for 64 years where she sang with folk groups, was a member of the RCIA and retreat committees and an Extra Ordinary Minister, taking Holy Communion to the homebound. She enjoyed following her favorite bands to different venues and going dancing with her husband. Connie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who cherished her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Mark of Bethlehem, John Jr. and his wife, Kim of Allentown and Thomas and his wife, Joanne of Ambler; 4 grandchildren, Kaley, wife of Evan Horvath, John, Trey and Maddy and great-granddaughter, Alice. Connie was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Ann Detweiler, wife of Barry and Kathleen, wife of Paul White

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A visitation will also be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
