Constance Ruth Stern

Constance Ruth “Connie” Stern, 67, of Auburn, PA passed away peacefully on August 11, 2018. Born in Bethlehem on September 14, 1950; she was the daughter of the late Howard W. and Bette Mae (Alt) Farnham. Connie was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Stern, Jr. who died in 2016.

Before retiring in 2005 Connie was employed by the US Postal Service for 32 years. She was a Business Service Network Rep. for the Lehigh Valley processing facility. She was a member of the NSDAR Bethlehem Chapter, serving as Vice Regent from 2003 to 2007 and Regent from 2007 to 2010 and as a Director since 2017. Connie was a graduate of Parkland High School and was very active in organizing reunions.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Christopher Odenwelder; sisters, Jean Temple, and Sally Rieg; brother, Shawn Farnham; and grandchildren, Elaina Mae Jones, and Isabel Marie Odenwelder. She was predeceased by a grandson, Phillip Daniel Odenwelder.

Visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, on Saturday, August 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. memorial service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
