Daniel A. Scanlan

Daniel A. Scanlan, 43, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Bethlehem, died June 6, 2008 in Florida due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born October 22, 1964 in Bethlehem, the son of Daniel C. and Justine M. "Jessie" Uhrin Scanlan of Bethlehem.

Daniel graduated from Liberty High School and attended Northampton Community College. He worked for Homeland Security in West Palm Beach as a security guard. Prior to that, he worked for the former Beatrice Cheese Company.

Daniel will be lovingly remembered by his parents, daughters, Briana and Chelsea Scanlan of Vero Beach, FL; his brother, Mark Scanlan & his wife Roseanne of Morrisville, N.C.; sister, Patricia Ann, wife of Mark Murphy of Raleigh, N.C.; and his granddaughter, Hannah.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem. Visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
