Daniel Artim, 73, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at St. Luke?s Hospital.
He was born in McAdoo, PA the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Chulock Artim.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Agatha Kovalick Artim of Bethlehem.
He served his country in the US Army.
Dan retired as Vice President of Marketing and Director of National Sales for Michelle?s Family Bakery, previously Mrs. Smith?s Pie Co.
He was a devout member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a friend of the parish, a committed member who spent his life in service to God and his church.
Dan will be lovingly remembered by his family, wife, Agatha; son, Daniel F. Artim husband of Kathleen of Bath; son, James M. Artim of Bethlehem; daughter, Lisa M. Allen and companion Andrew Kemmerer of Northampton; Roxanne A. Karvan wife of Frank of Bethlehem; son, David N. Artim of New York, NY and daughter Stephanie A. Azar wife of Bob of Bethlehem. As well as friend of the family Mark Borghetti and 11 grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Lindsey, Jordan, Samantha, Daniel, Dillon, Michael, Zoe, Mya, and Abigail.
Dan is also survived by his sister MaryAnn Leshko of McAdoo; and his brothers, Nicholas of Syracuse and John of McAdoo.
He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Deborah and his sister Theresa.
Dan was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council 313. He served as Past Grand Knight and Past Faithful Navigator.
Dan enjoyed bowling in leagues for the Greek Catholic Union as well as the Panthers.
He will be remembered forever for the love that he gave to his church and his family, especially his grandchildren.
Avisitaiton will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Friday July 6, 2007 from 2-4PM and 6-9PM; and again on Saturday July 7, 2007 at the funeral home from 8-9:30 AM.
Office of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday July 7, 2007 at 10AM at Ss Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 1140 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem PA 18017
Memorial Contributions may be made to the church in Memory of Daniel Artim.
