Daniel M. Gallagher

April 24, 1937 — February 7, 2021

Daniel M. Gallagher, 83, of Bethlehem passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Born on April 24, 1937 in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Michael and Alice (McGeehin) Gallagher. He was the loving husband of Ann H. (Gallagher) Gallagher.

Dan was a graduate of Villanova University Class of 1959. He retired from PP&L as the manager of distribution. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem and was a former board member of VIA and the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid Eagles and Villanova fan. Throughout his many years of golfing with his wife and friends, Dan had 2 holes in one. Dan was his grandchildrens biggest supporter and cherished his time watching their activities and spending time with them.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Ann; daughter, Kathleen Chlebove and her husband, Scott; son, Michael Gallagher and his wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Collin and Conor Gallagher and Megan, Danny and Erin Chlebove; great grandchildren, Lance and Carson Gallagher; brother-in-law, Eugene Gallagher and many nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Gallagher and Anne Herbert and brother, Michael Gallagher.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Catholic Church.
