Daniel Santiago, 91, of Tamarac, FL, formerly of Bethlehem passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024. Born on June 3, 1933 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Lorenza Serrano de Santiago and Pablo Santiago Avitas. He was the loving husband of Carmen M. Calvo and the late Florentina (Quinones) Santiago.
Daniel dedicated many years of his career to Lehigh Foundry and Victaulic before enjoying retirement. Outside of work, he found happiness in the great outdoors, often fishing along the Delaware River and appreciating the beauty of nature. He spent many days laughing at the antics of the Three Stooges. Above all else, Daniel cherished his family. He was a steadfast supporter of his children and grandchildren, always present at their sporting events and celebrating their achievements with pride. His unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carmen Calvo; children, Daniel Santiago, Jr. and his wife, Annette, Wilfredo Santiago and his wife, Olga and Anthony Santiago; brother, Francisco "Paco" Santiago; stepchildren, Gary Calvo and Cynthia Calvo; grandchildren, Daniel, III., Nicholas, Matthew, A.J., Andrew and Jaylen and great-grandchildren, D'Anthony, Daliliah, Damitri and Jayden. Daniel was preceded in death by his 2 brothers and a sister.
A viewing for immediate family and close friends will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 9-10 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service to follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
