Daniel W. Bristol

January 30, 1947 — April 27, 2009

Daniel W. Bristol, 62, of Bethlehem, PA died Monday, April 27, 2009 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Reading, PA.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of Frances Little Bristol of Bethlehem and the late Walter Bristol. He was married to Maryann Seman Bristol with whom he celebrated 35 years of marriage. Daniel served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War

His first nickname was "Brooklyn". Later, his buddies at Bethlehem Steel tagged him "Dapper Dan". To most, he was simply "Dan": a simple man, who lived a simple life. He simply loved his wife, his family, his grandchildren, and his buddies- with an unconditional love.

Those who knew him knew he enjoyed the simple things in life: a bowl of chili, some BBQ and a cold beer; eating crab legs during family vacations to Long Beach Island; watching football with his buddies at the social clubs he belonged to. Those who knew Dan knew music was his passion. The fact is: Dan was an authority on Rock 'n Roll music. He looked forward to Musikfest with eager anticipation.

Daniel will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maryann of Bethlehem, son Christopher Bristol and wife Dana of Connecticut, daughter, Heather Alwine and husband Greg of Hazelton, brothers, Allen and Michael Bristol of Bethlehem, sister, Colleen Ebert of Bethlehem, six grandchildren and one great grandson.
