Daryl "Bo" L. Fornauf

Daryl "Bo" L. Fornauf, 64, of Upper Saucon Twsp.died on Friday, May 19, 2006 at home.

Born October 29, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Robert P. & Lois K. Spear Fornauf.

He and his wife, Rose Bednar Fornauf celebrated their 29th anniversary on Nov. 12, 2005.

Bo served in the Special Services Division of the U. S. Army from 1960 - 1962.



After working for Phoenix Cloths, Inc. in Allentown for 9 years, Bo joined the Bethlehem Police Department in 1969, retiring in 1995. He served in many capacities for the Police Department, including the Safety Officer for Children.

Currently, he worked with

V.A.S. T., since 1999 .

Mr. Fornauf was very active with the Fraternal Order of Police F.O.P.. He served as president of the Bethlehem F.O.P. from 1984 ? 1988 and was a member of the Board of Trustees of the National F.O.P. from 1997 - 1999. He also served on the State Advisory Committee of the State F.O.P., served as the chairman of F.O.P.'s of 3rd class cities in 1999, was a member of M.E.C.A. Mid Eastern Cop Association, which is comprised mostly of cops from the Lehigh Valley F.O.P.'s. He had served on the Board of the Bethlehem F.O.P. and was currently the Delegate for Star Lodge 20, Bethlehem. He was currently the state F.O.P. designated photographer.

He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Erica & Melissa Reinbold, Nicole Goeppert, Zachery Romig, Jesica Smith and Elizabeth Fornauf

SERVICES

Visitation will be at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, May 23 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Funeral Services will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, May 24, at 11:00 AM

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA
