David F. Foley

David F. Foley, 75, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully Saturday February 16, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 10, 1937 in Worcester, Mass., son of the late Thomas and Mary (O'Hara) Foley. He was the devoted husband of Kathleen (O'Brien) Foley.

David's career included 28 years with Bethlehem Steel and 15 years of teaching before he retired in 2011. David served in the US Marines and was a proud Marine until he passed. He was a devout member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Parish for over 40 years. He was educated at Bethlehem Catholic High School, the University of Montana and DeSales University. David loved spending time with his family including his beloved dog, Grady. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid swimmer.

He is the father of four children, David of MA, and Sean of Bethlehem, daughters, Kerry Seeger (Christopher) of Bryn Mawr, and Erin Foley of NY. He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen and Kathleen's children, Troy Ferrie (Karen) of CT, Helene Zayas of AZ, and Erin Willis(James) of WA. He was Bampi to his nine adoring grand children. He is also survived by brothers Thomas of MA, Richard of MA, and John of State College, and sister, Mary McCafferty of VA .

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am,Thursday February 21, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, Pa. 18020. Calling hours will be held from 9-10 am, Thursday morning at the church and from 7-9pm Wednesday evening at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
