Dean ?Diz? F. Fenicle, 78, of Freemansburg died on Sunday July 16, 2006 at St. Luke?s Hospital.
He was born in Bethlehem the son of the late Harold W. Fenicle and Lillie Mae Hottle Miller.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Anna R. Sommer Fenicle.
After graduating from Liberty High School in 1945, Dean served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Dean worked as an Insurance Salesman for United Healthcare. He was an Agent Manager for several years before retiring as an Auditor.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Anna; daughters, Cynthia L. Martin of Hanover Twp., and Karen A. Voth of Fountain Hill; two grandchildren, Hillary and Zachary Martin; as well as three brothers, Gordon, Ralph, and Blake all of Bethlehem.
Dean was preceded in death by his brothers Harold, Jr. and Glenn, Sr. and a Son-in-law Jack Voth.
Dean was a very active member of the community. He served as Councilman and later two terms as Mayor for the borough of Freemansburg.
He was a member of the Lions Club, Freemansburg Fire Co., Freemansburg American Legion, and Boys Club of Bethlehem.
Dean enjoyed to play golf and was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.
Services
A Visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Wednesday July 19, 2006 from 7-9PM and again on Thursday July 20, 2006 from 8-9:15 AM at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 20, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miller Heights, at 10AM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the church.
