Delores A. Santoro, 74, of Bethlehem, went on to meet her Lord on Monday, December 23, 2013 at home, surrounded by those who loved her. She was born January 8, 1939 in Allentown; daughter of the late, Earl W. and Ethel M. (Shively) Esterly. Dee was the devoted wife of 40 years to Frank J. Santoro.
Dee worked for 28 years in the garment industry and was a member of the ILGWU. She also worked for Holy Family Manor for 20 years, retiring in 2005. Dee was a parishioner of St. Annes Catholic Church. She was a member of both the North End Wanders A.A. and Heights A.A.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Frank; sisters, Barbara Whitacre, Ethel Hurdle, Hannah Woodard and Sandra Diefenderfer; and her brothers, Eugene, Earl and Kenneth Esterly. Dee was preceded in death by her sisters, Jacqueline Heintzelman, Betty Ziegler, Bernice Esterly, Roberta Christman, Kathryn Clouse and Carrie Schuster; and brothers, Lamar, Robert, Harvey, Wilson, Paul and Timothy Esterly.
Arrangements have been made with the assistance of The Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 9-10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, c/o Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
