Denise Helen Lawrence

Denise H. Lawrence, 54, of Bethlehem, died with her family by her side, after a 15 month struggle with Primary Peritoneal Cancer. She passed the same way she lived life, with dignity, grace and love, on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She was born September 13, 1961, daughter of Dominic and Donna (Tomcavage) Alisio. Denise was the devoted wife of 28 years of Norm Lawrence and dedicated mother of Norman and Eric.

Denise worked for the former Western Electric as a Trainer and Customer Service Representative and later worked as a Technical Writer for Lattice Semi-Conductor prior to dedicating her life to her family. Denise found peace in nature and being outdoors. She enjoyed biking and gardening and spending time with her many good friends. Above all, Denise loved spending time with her two sons, who meant everything to her. She will be missed at their swim meets and orchestra concerts by her sons and the many friends she made there.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Norm; sons, Norman and Eric; her parents; brother, Dominic “Nick” Alisio and his wife, Tina of Hanover Twp. and Kristin Schlonski and her husband, Don of Rochester, NY; five nieces and nephews; and her chocolate lab, Cocoa. Denise was preceded in death by her niece, Megan Alisio.

A ceremony to celebrate Denises life will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St, Bethlehem, PA 18018. The family will receive guests from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the ceremony.

Denise requested memorial contributions be made to the Gynecologic Oncology Group, Dr. Taylor , St. Lukes University Health Network c/o Development, 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
