Dennis G. Andreas

Dennis G. Andreas, 67, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018; surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maryann (Karetz) Andreas; they wouldve celebrated 43 of marriage on May 17th. Born in Bethlehem, on May 31, 1950, he was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Muffley) Andreas.

After high school, Dennis honorably served with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He was a Purple Heart recipient and a member of the VFW and American Legion. Before retiring Dennis worked 13 years for the Bethlehem Steel then 25 years with the Post Office as a Letter Carrier. He was an avid NASCAR fan, he enjoyed golfing and bowling, and above all loved spending time with his grandsons.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Maryann; sons, Brian Andreas and girlfriend, Melissa Piperato, and Jeffrey Andreas and wife, Jessica; brother, Lynn Andreas and wife, Sandy; sister, Nancy Andreas and companion, James Quilter; Dennis twin sister, Holly Lorah; his beloved grandsons, Blake and Cole; in-laws, Dolores Smodish, and Dennis Karetz; 4 nephews, and 1 niece.

Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday, from 9 to 11 a.m. An 11 a.m. funeral service will follow, in the funeral home, with burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
