Dennis J Taglang

July 12, 1952 — March 29, 2012

Denny J. Taglang, 59 of Lower Saucon Township died Thursday March 29th in St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness.

Denny and his wife Bonnie Bednar celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary this past November.

Born in Bethlehem he is the son of the late Francis and Marguerite Heimsoth Taglang

Denny, a 1971 graduate of Liberty High School, worked for Lehigh Valley Railroad and Conrail for 20 years retiring in 1997. He owned and operated Lawns by Taglang since 1997 however he was passionate with owning and riding horses. He was a devoted best friend and spouse for 42 years, he and Bonnie were inseparable, a true partnership that few marriages are fortunate enough to attain.

He was a champion Barrel Horse rider winning many district, state titles and competing in world championships on his beloved gelding Honest Stones. In 2003 he won the Senior NBHA National Championship.

He was a former State and District Director of National Barrel Horse Association.

Denny was an eternal prankster and full of laughter. His passion for family, animals, house and his "Alex" was unmeasurable. He will be missed dearly by all fortunate enough to have Denny call them his friend, his competitive nature and drive to succeed will continue to inspire. Anyone who spent anytime with him could not help but share his love of life. Denny was truly one in a million.

Surviving with his wife, Bonnie are his two sons: Brett of Hellertown and Kyle of Bethlehem

His sons were his heart and soul and gave him a deep sense of pride.

He is also survived by his brothers: Richard and Francis and his sister Mary Margaret Shafer all of Bethlehem.

He will also be dearly missed by "His Girls" Allison, Mary, Kailey and Casey.

A Celebration of Denny's life will be held on Monday at 6:45p.m. in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Friends and relatives are invited to the viewing on Monday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
