Diane A. Petrizzi

Diane A. Petrizzi, 77, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022. She was born in New York City on February 25, 1945, the daughter of the late Caroline (Ferber) and Charles A. Weigel. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph B. Petrizzi, Jr.

Diane was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church for 52 years where she was also a member of the 55 plus club. She loved bowling, golfing, lighthouses, watching the New York Mets and Giants, western movies, and Zorro. She loved spending time at the beach and traveling the world. For many years, Diane volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the polls on election days. She loved driving, always trying to get where she was going as fast as she could. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, she loved and cherished them greatly.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Christine P. Gilhool, and her husband Brian; sons, Joseph B. Petrizzi, III and his wife, Noreen; Michael C. Petrizzi and his wife, Rocklyn. Grandchildren Joey and Patrick Gilhool, Vincent and Megan Petrizzi, and Chase, Dylan and Hayden Petrizzi.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will also be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy School for Special Learning, 830 S. Woodward St. Allentown, PA 18103.
