Diane C. Hartzell

Diane (Finn) Hartzell, 61, of Bethlehem, PA passed away Monday, July 15, 2013. Born October 6, 1951 in Allentown she was the daughter of Georgine (Lorah) Finn with whom she resided and the late David Finn, Sr. She was married to Dennis C. Hartzell with whom she celebrated 38 years of marriage until his passing on April 4, 2011.

Diane was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miller Heights. She was also a member of the Bethlehem Independent Citizens Club where she was a past president of the ladies auxiliary. Diane was a charter member of Young Women's Bingo Club. She also spent many years as member of the Sweet Adelines. Diane was a caring daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was like a second mom to her grandchildren, spending as much time with them as she could. One of her favorite things was camping at Mount Springs with her family. Diane was a member of the Parachute Camping Group. She was also a talented seamstress and baker and was never afraid to tackle any project.

Diane will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Georgine Finn of Bethlehem, daughter, Erin wife of John Williams of Bethlehem Township, son Matthew Hartzell, Sr. of Bethlehem, brothers, David Finn, Jr. of Allentown, Patrick Finn and wife Kim of Bethlehem Township and John Finn of Pittsburgh, sisters, Theresa wife of Marlyn Zell of Florida and Jodi wife of Louis Mertus of Bethlehem Township and sister in-law Yolanda wife of Paul Alhum of Quakertown and seven grandchildren, Ashley, Miles and Spencer Williams and Jayda, Victoria, Matthew, Jr. and Andrew Hartzell. She will also be missed by her beloved dog, Ziva.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia and Michelle Finn and a brother, Michael Finn.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-9 PM and on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 9-10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
