Dolores J. Campanella

Dolores J. Campanella, 77, of Hellertown, died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. She was born on November 25, 1935 in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Filo) Ardelean. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Thomas Campanella.

Dolores was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School. She served as the Finance Officer for the Borough of Hellertown from 1967 to 1999. She worked for Lehigh University during the centennial and was a bookkeeper for Fountain Hill Mills. Dolores was a parishioner of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Choir and Ladies' Guild. Dolores was an avid bowler and enjoyed meeting with her Bethlehem Catholic classmates for lunch.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Betts and her husband Dr. Brooks Betts, II, DO of Easton and her son, Thomas Campanella, Jr. and his wife, Yvette R. of Buckeye, AZ; her grandson John R. Fair III and his wife, Kaleena of Jacksonville, FL; a sister Lorraine Foulke and her husband Robert of Bethlehem; brother Stephen and his wife Eva of Beaumont, CA; nieces and nephews; her cousin, Rosalie Toth; and dear friends and neighbors, Richard and Patricia Koch . Dolores was predeceased by her brothers, Theodore, Jr. and Joseph.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 8-9 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church 1408 Easton Rd. Hellertown, PA 18055 on Saturday at 10 am. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
