Dominic Alisio, 92, of Nazareth, died on August 14, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born in Bethlehem, April 4, 1932, the son of the late Ferdinand and Rita (Casciani) Alisio. Dom is survived by his devoted wife, Donna J. Alisio.

Dom will be fondly remembered as a family man with a kind, generous, and loving demeanor. He achieved many accomplishments but above all, his family was most important in his life. Dom shared 68 years of marriage with Donna after meeting on a blind date. Their relationship began long distance, with letters exchanged and traveling to visit each other. Their love grew and they were married on February 11, 1956. They built a wonderful life together and created a beautiful family.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Donna, son, Dominic "Nicky" Alisio, Jr. and wife, Tina, daughter, Kristin Schlonski, and son-in-law, Norman Lawrence, husband to the late Denise Lawrence. Dominic was the proud grandfather to Norman, Eric, Stephen, Patrick, and Erin and great grandfather to Charlotte.

Dom was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Megan Alisio, and sisters, Jennie Rule, and Maggie Ruhf.

He was a graduate of Liberty High School where he was a member of the football team. Dom was determined to go to college, and he built up the courage to walk into a local official's office to inquire about a scholarship. Dom earned that scholarship, and he proudly graduated from Penn State University and was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Dom had a passion for education, but it was put on hold while he served in the US Army as a paymaster during the Korean War. Later, Dom earned a master's degree in finance from Lehigh University.

Dom's intelligence and work ethic was evident in all that he accomplished in career. Working at the Bethlehem Steel as a young man helped to form his appreciation for finance. He began his formal work career with Western Electric and retired from Lucent where he served as a supervisor for the finance department. In 1959, Dom was a founder of WE Allen Credit Union, which served Western Electric employees. Today the credit union is known at First Commonwealth Credit Union and has since grown to become the largest credit union in the Lehigh Valley. Dom also shared his wealth of knowledge as a teacher at Penn State Lehigh Valley.

He was a lifelong fan of Penn State football and in his free time could be found enjoying a round of golf with friends. Dom served on the board of directors at the Brigadune Condominium Association in Myrtle Beach, SC.
