Dominic La Selva

Dominic La Selva, 51, of Saucon Valley, died on Thursday, May 22, 2014. He was born May 10, 1963 in Pottsville; son of the late Edoardo and Domenica (De Matteo) La Selva. Dominic is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Tama La Selva; son, Jarod and daughter, Camryn.

Dominic was a 1981 graduate of Pottsville Area High School where he excelled at football and track and field. He later earned a Bachelors degree while on a full football scholarship at Lehigh University, Class of 1985. He was employed by Johnson and Johnson for 27 years. Dominic enjoyed his work and was currently Vice President of North American Specialty Sales and Strategic Partnerships. He was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

Dominic was a devoted husband and father and will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tama; son, Jarod and daughter, Camryn; brothers, Vincent La Selva and his wife, Mary Eileen of Pottsville and Edward La Selva and his wife, Kathryn of Atlanta, GA and his nieces and nephew, Angela Marie, Olivia, Dominque and Vincent, Jr.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 6-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Another visitation will be held on Wednesday following mass from 1-2 PM at Robert A. Evans, Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St. Port Carbon, PA 17965 with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Pottsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Catholic School, 1835 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018; Bethlehem Catholic High School, 2133 Madison Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/or American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170 Bethlehem, PA 18017.
