Donald A. Anderson

Donald A. Anderson Jr. died on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, in Moore Twp. PA. He was 76 years old. Donald was born June 18, 1937 in Elizabeth, NJ. Son of the late Donald A Anderson Sr. and Jean (Decker) Anderson. He was the husband to the late Lillian (Morgan) Anderson.

Donald was a proud United States Marine. He retired in 1992 from Exxon Bay Way Refinery. Donald spent the remainder of his years as a dedicated member and bartender for the VFW post 4247 in Keyport, NJ. He will dearly be missed by his family: Son Ronald Anderson wife Dodie, Son Kenneth Anderson fianc Patricia Hutchins, Daughter Dawn Garland husband Joseph, Companion Pauline Mazur, Grandchildren Kevin Anderson, Stephen Anderson, Julie(Anderson) Kemmerer, Melissa Anderson, Bryan Castner, Joseph Garland Jr. and Mason Garland, Great Granddaughter Faith Kemmerer and Abigal Bried, Sisters Eileen Sickles, Beth Fennell and Virginia Hassel.Donald was preceded by his brothers, Richard Anderson and David Anderson and his sister Ellen (Anderson) Jenson.

A gathering will be held at the VFW post 4247 at the corner of 3rd and Waverly in Keyport, NJ on Sunday January 26, 2014 from 2 PM to 4 PM. A cremation was entrusted to the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
