Donald C. Cooper

Donald C. Cooper, 87, of Hellertown, died on Friday, September 11, 2015. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Minnie Cooper. He was the devoted husband to the late Bernice (Fox) Cooper.

Donald retired as a General Foreman in the Auxiliary Yard at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. He later worked as the Manager of Distribution at the Lehigh Valley Food Bank. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1949. In his free time, Donald enjoyed golfing and bowling.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Jeffrey Cooper and his wife, Donna of Hellertown; daughters, Donna, wife of Peter Kish of Bethlehem; Cindy Cooper of Bethlehem; and Judy, wife of Frank Wenrich of Mohnton, PA; his grandchildren, Peter, Jr. of Bethlehem; and David of Independence, MO; and his seven great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Anthony, Sarina, Augustina, David, Veronica and Giovanna. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
