Donald G. Eckhart

Donald G. Eckhart, 63, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at St. Luke’s Anderson campus.

Born on, January 23, 1960, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Charles and Frances (Kramer) Eckhart.

Donald graduated from Freedom High School. He was a laborer for Chrin Brothers Inc., for 28 years. Donald was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked, he was very handy and generous. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, he loved spending time with them. Donald also enjoyed eating at the Freemansburg Diner from time to time.

Donald is survived by his two sons, Christopher Donald Williams and his wife, Tara and Jonathan C. Eckhart and his fiancé, Vanessa; sister, Diane Kovacs; brother, Dennis (Carol) Eckhart; grandchildren, Brielle Williams, Gavin Williams, Caleb Eckhart, Madison Eckhart, and Paisley Jones.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, David Eckhart; brother-in-law, James Kovacs; and his granddaughter, Ava Williams.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
