Donald J. Pulley

Donald J. Pulley, Sr., 77, of Bethlehem, went home to the Lord on Friday, March 09, 2018. Born in Bethlehem on January 18, 1941 to Antoinette L. (Maio) Pulley and the late Charles Pulley, Sr.

Don graduated from Liberty High School Vo-Tech in 1959. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from the Pennsylvania State Police with 26 years of service. Upon retirement, he worked as a private detective, Northampton County Sheriff, and as a bank fraud investigator. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge 40, Retired State Police Association of PA, National Fraternal Order of Police, American Legion Post #379, East Bath Rod and Gun Club, NRA, and USS Davis Association.

Don married his high school sweetheart, Carol A. (Geskey) Pulley. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on April 28th. They had 3 sons, Donald J. Pulley, Jr. and his wife, Karen and their sons, Ryan, Colin and daughter, Brittany Pulley of South Carolina; Kenneth Pulley of Bethlehem; and Troy Pulley and his wife, Dawn and their sons, Justin and Tyler Pulley and Dons step granddaughter, Amanda Hunter of Georgia. He is also survived by a brother, Charles Pulley, Jr. of Bethlehem and sister, RoseAnn Smith and her husband, Terry of Florida.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 8:30-10:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Pl #170, Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/or St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
