Donald J. Takach

Donald J. Takach, 77, of Bethlehem died Saturday July 14, 2007 at St. Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill. He was born on March 21, 1930 in Bethlehem son of the late Joseph and Margaret Kauker Takach. He was the husband of the late Theresa L. Takach who died in 2001.

Donald worked as a beam yard foreman for Bethlehem Steel for 40 years retiring in 1992. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Jefferson Democratic Club and the Heights A.A. Donald was also a member of the South Side Boosters Club and an avid Lehigh Football Fan. Donald was very devoted to his family and believed it was important to work hard and be honest.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Richard J. Takach of Bethlehem, Thomas W. Takach of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughters, Donna M. Kidulic and Ann Marie Pammer both of Bethlehem, brother, Robert Takach of Bethlehem, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister Anna Marie Gotzon.

Services will be held on Wednesday July 18th at 8:45AM at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30AM at St. Johns Capistrano Church 912 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, Pa. Calling Hours will be held from 7-9PM Tuesday evening in the funeral home
