Donald K. Banks

Donald Kenneth Banks, 91, of Allentown, died on February 16, 2017. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Percy and Anna (Gehringer) Banks. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Bodman) Banks.

Donald was a 1942 graduate of William Allen H.S. He was an Army veteran who served in World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. He was employed by the Fuller Company where he was the Assistant Sales Manager for pneumatic conveying products. He was a former member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church and a volunteer Sunday School Teacher at the Allentown State Hospital.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Susan Jane Roth; brother, Robert T. Banks (Anita), long-time companion, Margaret Hansen; granddaughters, Aimee N. Ramos (Israel) and Nicole M. Held; great grandchildren, Anthony Ramos-Held, Kelsie Lockley and Zackery Slifer; and nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, from 11 to 12 noon, in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. A 12 p.m. funeral service will follow, in the funeral home. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
