Donald Lynn Dodson, Md

Donald Lynn Dodson, MD (63) passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 14th 2019. He was the son of Margaret Lucille (Koontz) Dodson (deceased) and Donald Ray Dodson. Dr. Dodson was a graduate of Northern Bedford County High School and Juniata College with a Bachelors Degree in Pre Medical Science. He received his Medical Degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 1982. He completed a Residency in Anesthesia and a Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia in 1986. For 33 years, he was a practicing member of the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at St. Lukes University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Maryellen P. Ahern, MD, daughters Elizabeth Dodson, Sarah Beach (wife of Christopher Beach), and Margaret Savard (wife of Michael Savard), four grandchildren; Samuel and Benjamin Beach, Melanie and Thomas Savard, brother Steven R. Dodson, MD, sister Julie Dodson, along with five nieces and five nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 7th 2019 at Saucon Valley Country Club at 6:00pm. Being an avid hiker and explorer, his final resting place will be at a sunrise service held at the Grand Canyon National Park.
