Donald T. Knoblick, Sr., 85, of Bethlehem, died Monday, October 26, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Fred “Fritz” and Mary (Albert) Knoblick. He was the loving husband to Bernadine “Bernie” (Barth) Knoblick. They were married 60 years before her death in 2010.
Donald worked in the sales department at Bethlehem Steel for 20 years. He owned Spotless Cleaners and worked at Barths Grille, Mowers, Suncrest and Abbotts Dairies as a milkman and also worked at Durkees. He then worked for Coordinated Health as a courier for 21 years, retiring at the age of 80.
Donald originated and was a member of the Carlton Quoit Club. He loved to polka dance with his wife at the Algemeiner, Liederkranz, Hary Cary Club, and the Hungarian Hall. He was a life member of St. Bernards RC Beneficial Society, a life member of the Heights Athletic Association, the Coplay Saengerburd, and the Pecks Lake Sportsmen Association. He was also a life member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and a Eucharistic Minister.
He enjoyed all his good friends and family fellowship at his cabin in Luddlyville Porter Twp. Pike County for over 50 years. Hunting and fishing were on the top of his to do list whenever and whatever the season was.
Survivors: Donald was always active with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Donald Knoblick, Jr. and wife, Margo; and his daughter, Diane Snyder and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Bryan Snyder and wife, Sarah, Susan Chambers and husband, Scott, Donald T. Knoblick, III and Thomas Knoblick; and great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Austin Chambers; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bedics, Barbara Barth and Rose Barth.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 417 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18015 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Lehigh Valley Health Network, Development Dept., 2100 Mack Blvd, Allentown, PA 18103.
