Doris June DiGirolamo, 83, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. She was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Lear. She was the loving wife of Lawrence DiGirolamo. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this past September.
Doris graduated from Phillipsburg High School and Churchman's Business School. She worked for Fritch Fuel Co. and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company as an administrative assistant.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Lawrence, daughters, Sally, wife of Tony Apanavage, Donna, wife of David Zimmerman, Michele DiGirolamo, wife of Tom Gralish, son, Peter DiGirolamo, brother, Jim Lear and his wife, Janet, five grandchildren, Tony Apanavage and his wife, Carolyn, Sara Apanavage and her partner, Tim Bant, Emily Zimmerman, Madeline and Jesse Gralish and Joey DiGirolamo and a great-grandson, Luke Apanavage.
She was preceded in death by five of her brothers, Albert, Donald, Charles, Lester and Leroy Lear.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
