Doris R. Hassler

Doris R. Hassler, 92, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born in Bethlehem to Elsie M. (Nause) and Harold B. Matz. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur E. Hassler.

Over the course of her long life, it was Doriss great joy to work at the family store, the locally renowned Matzs Peanut Shop, where she could often be found behind the counter with a Coke and a book. When not in the store, Doris cherished her time with her family and many adopted pets.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Barbara Hassler Martell, wife of Gary Martell; Bruce A. Hassler and wife, Kathryn, and David B. Hassler; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.
