Dorothea L. Smith

Dorothea L. Smith, 83, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, November 5, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Allentown, the daughter of the late Harry Sherry, Sr. and Verna (Cosei) Sherry. Dorothea was the devoted wife of the late Benjamin W. Smith and the loving mother to her daughter, Deborah L. Smith.

Despite her many medical challenges, Dorothea remained steadfastly optimistic. Her family's needs were always placed before her own. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Allentown.

Dorothea will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Deborah L., of Bethlehem;

sister-in-law, Agnes P. Smith, of Coplay; several nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Sherry, Jr. and Robert Sherry, Sr.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 501 Ridge Ave., Allentown, PA 18102. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the church. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc., Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the church.
