Dorothy A. Barkouskie

Dorothy A. Barkouskie, 88, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, June 18, 2015. She was born in Mount Carmel, PA; daughter of the late Zigmond and Anna (Zdanowicz) Tamecki. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bernard “Bernie” J. Barkouskie, Sr. Dorothy was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church and was a member of the 55 Plus Club. She enjoyed traveling, especially the cruises with friends and family.

She dedicated her life to her family and will be dearly missed by her son, Bernard J. Barkouskie, Jr. and his wife, Martha, daughter, Mary Ann Chupella and her husband, Robert, all of Bethlehem. She was a loving grandmother to Matthew and Christopher Chupella and Katie and Anne Barkouskie. Dorothy was predeceased by her sister, Anna and brothers, Joseph, Eddie, Frankie, Jimmy and Chester.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 8:15-9:15 a.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association 617 A Main St. Hellertown, PA 18055.
