Dorothy C. Anderko

Dorothy C. Anderko, 100, formerly of Bethlehem, died at home in Pawleys Island, SC on Thursday, February 8, 2018. She was born in Fountain Hill, September 24, 1917; daughter of the late Frank and Pauline (Bednar) Alex.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Francis C. Anderko on January 3, 1991. She is survived by her daughters Catherine Justice of Pawleys Island, SC and Punta Gorda, FL and Sandra Kitson of Murrells Inlet, SC along with her Grandchildren Tracy Grimm and Tom Ahern and her 5 Great Grandchildren, Mira and Garnet Grimm, Willa Ahern, Frankie and Danielle Kitson.

Dorothy dedicated her life to her family. Her most cherished moments involved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling between Florida and South Carolina with her daughter and son-in-law Catherine and Clayton Justice. She has made long binding friendships everywhere she lived. She thoroughly enjoyed being the mascot for Cathy's bocci team at their weekly games and looked forward to her friends visiting with her for card games and dominos which she usually won.

Dorothy will be dearly missed. There will be an empty seat in the car and an empty place in our hearts. She was predeceased by her grandson, Frank Kitson and brother, Arthur Alex.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. which will immediately be followed by a service. Burial will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
