Dorothy E. Sabota

Dorothy E. “Dotsy” Sabota, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Anna (Cupinka) Sobota. Dorothy was a graduate of Liberty High School. She worked for the Bethlehem Steel as the Supervisor of the Data Processing Dept. from 1952 to 1986. She was then employed by Allied Personnel Services from 1987 until 1997. Dorothy bowled in the Hellertown Bowling League, enjoyed golfing, traveling in the US & abroad, and loved to read and knit. She was a life-long member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her only surviving sister, Eleanor Kravatz & husband, Joseph of Bethlehem; and 106 nieces & nephews over 4 generations. She was predeceased by her brothers: John, Stephen, Joseph, and George; and sisters: Mary Schneider, Agnes Kuruc, Anna Dugan, and Helen Tysell.

Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Tuesday, March 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow, on Wednesday, at the Incarnation of Our Lord Church, 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, with burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Lukes Hospice Endowment Fund and sent in c/o Connell Funeral Home.
