Dorothy Jacqueline Haas

Dorothy Jacqueline K. Haas, 83 of Birch Road in Hellertown, Pa. died Monday Aug 23rd.

She and her husband Donald W. Haas celebrated their 60 wedding Anniversary earlier this year.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Anne C. Tibalo Kern.

Dorothy was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation Communications Dept. retiring in the late 1950's as Supervisor of the Teletype Recording Dept.

She was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Hellertown.

Dorothy enjoyed chair canning and was often called the "Cookie Lady" by many of the children in her neighborhood. She had been a member of the Women's Club of Hellertown.

Surviving with her husband Donald are her daughter: Marcia Diane Haas of Exton, PA and her sister Judy Horning of Bethlehem.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: Lillian Kern, Anna Groman, Eleanor Fulmer, sister in law Grace Kern, her brother John Kern, and brothers-in-law Charles Groman, Fred Horning and Dr. Harlan Fulmer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Aug. 28th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church 1408 Easton Road Hellertown.
