Dorothy Kurtz

Dorothy Kurtz, 88, of Bethlehem passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. She was born on August 21,1925 in Beaver Meadows, Pa,

daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Steiner) Delfoe. She was the wife of Valentine Kurtz. They were married for 62 years this past July 14th. After graduating from Liberty High School, Dorothy was an office worker for Bethlehem Steel for 12 years, and a secretary for Fahnestock Brokerage Firm. She was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church in Bethlehem, and volunteered at Musikfest, Channel 39 and Holy Family Manor. Dorothy loved to travel, especially to Germany, and was an avid crafter.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Valentine, daughter, Sharon Splett and her husband George, granddaughter, Heather Weaver, all of Bethlehem, brother, Joseph Delfoe and his wife Eleanor, of Hellertown, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Calling hours will be held from 9:30-10:30am Saturday morning April 12, 2014 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E.Broad St., Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem, Pa.18017.
