Dorothy L. Meighan

Dorothy L. Meighan 98, of Bethlehem died Saturday February 20, 2010 at Lehigh Center in Macungie, Pa. She was born on February 24, 1911 in Laurel Run, Pa. , daughter of the late James and Mary Roach Meighan.

Dorothy was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem. She was a school teacher in Northampton School District for 2 years and the Bethlehem School District for 38 years retiring in 1975. She was also a 3rd order Dominican for 24 years and loved the Lord with her whole heart and soul. She was always giving of herself to everyone she knew and encountered. She was charity personified. Her absence will leave a void in the lives of all who knew her.

She will be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, James Meighan, and sisters, Margaret Gorman, Katherine Witherbee, and Miriam Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Tuesday March 2, 2010 at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church 610 Pine St. Bally, Pa. A Calling Hour will be held from 10-11AM at the church.

Burial will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery in North Catasauqua.
