Dorothy Latham

Dorothy Latham, 87, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, May 11, 2017. She was born January 29, 1930 in Manchester, England; daughter of the late Thomas and Ada (Bagshaw) Bailey. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Latham.

Dorothy was a sewing machine operator for Muriel Dress Factory and her smile often lit up the room while she was icing cakes at Gromans Bakery. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church where she participated in the Altar Guild. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, dice, and dominoes with her friends and she especially loved spending time with her son, Francis.

Dorothy will be dearly missed by her son, Francis Thomas Latham; her nieces and nephews and her friend, Brian Glancy. She was predeceased by her sisters, Ada, Marion, Evelyn, Helen and Nancy and her brothers, Raymond, Thomas, Harry, Wilfred and James.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. Burial Office and Holy Eucharist will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 1900 Pennsylvania Ave. Allentown, PA 18109.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
