Dorothy M. Klein, 89, of Topton, PA passed on to her new life with Jesus in heaven on Thursday, August 24th.
Dorothy was born on February 1, 1934, to Louis J. and Mary (Chromczak) Feher of Bethlehem.
She attended Liberty High School, after which she worked for Synthetic Thread Company. After marrying Anthony J. Klein, the two traveled across the country for their honeymoon to begin their life in San Diego, CA where Anthony was stationed in the Navy.
After returning to Allentown, Dorothy owned and operated Dot & Tony's Bar and Restaurant for over 15 years with Anthony. After selling their successful business, Dorothy worked at Schneider Manufacturing in Allentown; after which she devoted her life to the care of her mother.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Deborah (wife of William) Gruver, Cynthia (wife of Carl) Lucci; grandchildren, Laura Gruver, Amy (wife of Michael) Klotz, Christine (wife of Austin) Wesner, Jillian (wife of Thomas) Derhammer, James Gruver; and great-grandchildren, Elliott, and Jacob Klotz; Riley, and Aidan, Gallagher, Isabella, Mason, Georgia, and Blaise Derhammer. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Louis and Robert.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 31st from 10:00-10:45 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa's Church of the Child Jesus, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. Interment will be held at Holy Savior Cemetery.
