Dorothy Nicholas

Dorothy “Dot” Nicholas, 87, died on Sunday, April 17, 2016. She was born June 21, 1928 in Hazelton, PA; the daughter of the late James and Marie (Potts) Cusatis. Dot was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Nicholas.

Dot worked for several years at Just Born Candy. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Society. Dot was also a member of the I.C.C. She liked to polka and enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash and she was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Dot loved to have her children and grandchildren visit her.

Dot will be dearly missed by her daughters, Mary Fink and her husband, James W. with whom she resided along with the family poodle, Angel; Susan Nicholas of Catasauqua; and Marion Comoglio of Bethlehem; her seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and the Fink family. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Jane DeNofa and her brothers, William and Michael Cusatis.

The family will receive guests at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. with Panachida at 6 p.m. Another viewing will be held on Wednesday from 8-9 a.m. with Parastas at 9 a.m. in the funeral home. Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be celebrated10 a.m. on Wednesday at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 1401 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Interment will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
