Dorothy Valvik

Dorothy Valvik, 81, of Bethlehem, and formerly of Staten Island, NY, died on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Westminster Village. Born in Manhattan on May 21, 1934; she was the daughter of the late Anton F. and Mary Rose (LaBarbara) Braut.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Laurie Ronning and husband Steve of Shelton, CT, Jeffrey and wife Janet of Bethlehem, and Christine Thomas and husband Richard of Bethlehem; brother, Robert Braut of Staten Island, NY; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her long-time partner, John McLaughlin.

Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Friday, April 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A 12 p.m. funeral service will follow on Saturday, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem.
