Dr. Eleanor P. Cummins

Dr. Eleanor P. Cummins, 82, of Emmaus, PA, passed away on Thursday September 20, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Salisbury Twp. She was born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late Michael and Doris (Kaufman) Goldberg. A woman of significant accomplishment with two masters degrees and a doctorate, Eleanor was a teacher, assistant principal, and a consummate educator.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Jon Cummins and wife Amy, daughter, Debrah Cummins Stellato and husband Fred, brother, David Marshall and wife Sandy, grandchildren, Alli and husband Matt, Sophie, Charlie, Juli, Jay and Nick, and long time companion, Don.

Ellie travelled much of the world, and was passionate about learning, animals, art, and books. She was fiercely generous and gave a great deal of her time toward the causes about which she was most enthusiastic throughout her life. She loved spending time outside, especially by the pool and in the woods near her home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday September 24, 2018 in the Rodale Room at Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. 6th St. Allentown, PA 18101.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Allentown Symphony, 23 N. 6th St. Allentown, PA 18101.
